What is birth art?
Birth art is about healing, connection, and love!
This will be a safe place to connect with other expecting people, a place to open up and talk about our joys & fears pertaining to pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. Your art isn't supposed to look professional, or "good", that's not what this class is about. It's about taking what is deep down (fears, anxieties, worries…) and getting it out and released into the open to dissect and discuss. Whether that be a sculpture a painting, we will heal and find joy in this experience together!
What do you provide?
Instruction, an ear to listen and a shoulder to cry on. All needed art supplies, herbal tea and good company. Cannot wait to see you there!
The Prompts~
Week 1 - Sculpt a pregnant person or a vessel representing the womb.
Week 2 -The journey/landscape of birth
Week 3 - The door to birth
Week 4 - Being in birth
How long do the classes last?
2 hours each class, totally 8 hours in all throughout the 4 weeks. Contact me if you’d like to do individual classes (cost will change).
